Tuesday August 20th, 1974.
From the stories I have heard, my mother was happily cooking dinner
when she went into labor. I do not know many details, except my
birth was one that got complicated a bit because I was breech.
The doctor when he was *helping me* enter this world, dislocated
my hip, but no one noticed until I was a couple of weeks old
Well,
I dont remember much...lol but I do know my mother became pregnant
when I was about 4-5 months old, and she had a very complicated
pregnancy, due to the fact that she was RH-, and so was my sister
whom she was pregnant with...so my grandmother was the one who
cared for me, of course since I was a baby, or so I have heard.
My
younger sister was born 3 weeks before my first birthday and had
some problems. My mother had to give her special attention and
therapy since she had been born without oxygen, and was *slower*
at learning things than other babies...so I guess it is safe to
assume my grandmother did much of the looking out for me and that
is why I developed such a close bond with her instead of my mother
My
mother has never really spoken to me about the day I was born,
or much about my toddlers years...actually my mother and I have
never really spoken since I had my children, but let's not get
ahead of ourselves, we're talking about my childhood still.
I
guess I had a happy one. I remember always being a nice and happy
kid who asked a lot of questions, cared a lot about everyone and
used to talk really loud sometimes and my grandfather would keep
telling me to not yell I can still see him putting his hands on
his forehead saying "Ahy AHy AHY! Please don't yell!!"
LOL. :)
I
had one older sister and one older brother, and my younger sister.
We grew up in a really nice house in Puerto Rico. We lived in
the countryside, which is where some of the best houses were.
My grandfather had a lot of land and there was a river and waterfalls
and a nice ranch...it was nice. I can't complain, I had a pretyt
healthy childhood.
My
parents got divorced when I was 10. My mother decided we would
move to Florida, sicne she ahd already made plans to move to the
US with us and our father (and he changed his mind last minute)
she had already quit her great job so we moved to FLorida instead
of Texas.
Life
here was different. I was sad not to have my granparents around
but they visited a lot. My mother worked long hours and was never
around. My older sister became friend with this Girl in High schoolwho
had a sister my age, so naturally I became *best friends* with
her sister. :) We were a happy bunch and hung out almost daily.
Her parents were always so nice to us and I loved going to their
house....because they were a family. :)
So
guess this is where it all began. Everything changed when my sister
went to college.
What
would you like ot do now?
